We've seen a month on month increase in the number of website hits we're receiving. We could just place that down to being recommended and being found on the internet easily, but we've had month on month increases EVERY SINGLE MONTH. I believe this points to the fact that a lot of potential homeowners have decided to hold off purchasing their next property (and in particular first time buyers), and have decided to rent while they see what happens in the housing market. The election, the increase in interest rates and high property prices all points to this conclusion. Also, some Buy to Let investors are coming out of the market as they believe property has peaked, and some are not completing on the off-plan property that they bought into one or two years ago. All this means that there is an increase in the number of tenants available due to putting off the property purchase, and the supply of potential rental property is now reduced.
